Einleitung

You’ll learn the basics about Docker containers and Kubernetes as well as get a deeper insight into container orchestration with Kubernetes (and how easy it is to deploy applications).

Through case studies, exercises and live demonstrations, you will discover the key concepts of what a container is, use a Docker container platform on Linux and get an understanding of all basic Kubernetes objects.

At the end of this Docker and Kubernetes training, you will be able to build and run your Docker container and deploy your applications in a Kubernetes cluster.

Programm

At first:

  • Overview of runtime containers
  • Understand the objectives of container orchestration
  • Handle Docker images, how to manage the Docker registry, create your own Docker image with Dockerfile

Then:

  • Discover the different components of a Kubernetes cluster
  • Master the main Kubernetes objects: namespaces, pods, services and endpoints, Ingress
  • Understand the various types of deployment
  • Manage data persistence on Kubernetes clusters

Kursziel

Understand how Docker containers work.

Learn how to build and run a Linux Docker container.

Learn how to design, create and deploy an application on a Kubernetes cluster.

Adressaten

This Docker and Kubernetes training is intended for developers, system administrators and IT professionals responsible for application deployment.

I’ve been working in Telecommunication and Networking for 20 years in various position such as Technical Support, Trainer and Technical Sales all around the world. Along the way I've worked on several security topics for which I had a strong interest. I moved to DevOps where I can still use my networking skills but have a great opportunity to extend my knowledge in this fast moving and passionating area. I’ve earned several certifications in DevOps technology including the CKA and I’m supporting daily several big Kubernetes clusters for one of our customer.
